If you are unsure whether an issue is more widespread or just affecting you, try these tips and tricks to do some basic troubleshooting.

Is Vainu operational or down?

You can check our status page to get a reliable read on whether our services are actually affected by a universal issue or not. Usually you should see a green light with "All systems Operational" text indicating that there are at least no major server-side issues. This does not, however, disqualify the possibility of bugs in individual features.

Am I the only user affected by these issues?

If there are other Vainu users in your organization, you can of course ask them to test if they are having similar issues with any of our features. If yes, it might still be an issue that is only limited to your organizational account. If not, it is likely (but not certain) that the issue only concerns you.

If you don't have other Vainu users nearby or if they are not experiencing similar issues, we strongly recommend testing alternative web browsers or the incognito mode of your browser of choice. This helps you narrow down if the issue is actually browser-specific and not user-specific.

Anything I can do to fix the situation myself?

While we don't expect you to tackle bugs or configurate servers, there are a few tricks that might actually resolve some issues. They sound simple, but we promise you: they have come in surprisingly handy plenty of times!

  • You can try clearing website cache by using the key combo CTRL + Shift + F5 (on Windows) or Command + Shift + R (on Mac) while in Vainu.

  • You can try logging out and logging back in.

  • If possible, you can try temporarily switching to a different network/Wi-Fi or a different device.

  • If the issue is related to our Connector, you can try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration. No data is lost, but a new authentication might help.
