1. How can I download a company list?
After creating the prospect list you hoped for, you can download the list by clicking the Download button in the top right corner of the list view.
2. How can I select the data for my exports?
Once you have clicked Download, a new menu appears, and it lets you decide what attributes you want to add to your download. Depending on whether you use the Nordic business id database or the Global domain database, export has different attributes to choose from.

3. What formats are available for exports?
In the vainu.app, there are two available formats for export; CSV and JSON. After the file type is chosen, you can see the number of companies in the file, the number of data points, and the actual data points. In CSV, the menu shows you the columns that the file will have, and JSON shows you the results that the file will contain.
4. Can I export contact information?
You can download contact data from the vainu.app as a separate CSV or JSON file. Once you have clicked Download, a new menu appears, and it lets you select Employees to your download. Again, you can select the company data points you want to export (2. in this article).
File type: CSV – You'll get a zip file with 2 CSVs.
File type: JSON – shows you the results that the file will contain.
5. How exporting affects data usage (credit-based model)?
The amount of companies in each export is counted towards the set export credit limit on the Vainu contract. Find more about Credit Dashboard here: Vainu Credit Dashboard

You can easily export prospect lists from Vainu. First, you need to save the list you wish to export and then click Send to... icon and choose Excel/CSV to export.
The file is exported as .csv file. It is a standard format that can easily be used on multiple platforms and opened with multiple different spreadsheet programs. If the file does not open as expected, check out this article: Troubleshoot .csv file
Export feature:
With the basic export feature, you can export up to 200 companies/export.
Export includes these data points:

Business ID
Address
Contact information
Website
Status
Form of company
Registration year
Industry
Link to vainu
Countries of operation
Social media links and figures
Technologies
Financial figures (employee count, turnover, among others)
The Restricted for Marketing field contains one of three possible values:
True: Company has denied direct marketing and the company should not be added to any direct marketing email or call lists.
False: Company has not denied direct marketing.
Empty: Company has not denied direct marketing.
Export does not function if the list is not saved first. Remember to set chosen search filters and save the list from the top right corner. ↗️
Export contact information (Profession class)
When you click the Export icon, a new pop-up window will open. If you need to get more information on the personnel working for a certain company, select a profession class to get all names relevant to the selected employee group. You can select one or more profession classes.
When you have selected to export profession classes it will result in duplicate rows on export, because each row represents one employee. Contact information, if available, can be found in the last columns.
Note❗ Vainu is not focused on collecting personal information and, for that reason, offers a limited amount of contact information. Our contact data sources are a combination of official registry sources and open online sources. In Finland and Sweden, we also provide manually gathered, human-verified contact records–the key decision-makers–adhering to GDPR compliance rules when collecting these records.
